the faзade decorated in high-relief with a female mascaron framed by
two facing serpents, two crouching putti and an owl; the lower part decorated
with two chimeras protruding from the outer angles and framing the god Chronos.
Patinated and gilt bronze. Signed Victor PAILLARD Fabrct on the base
and monogrammed V.P. on the reverse.
The movement is signed Roblin а Paris, from a blank of the highest quality
by PONS, awarded the Gold Medal in 1934. 15-days autonomy round movement,
anchor recoil escapement, steel suspension with adjustment
of the “rise and fall” type, which is exceedingly rare in this type of
movements. Half_hourly strike in the French fashion,
countwheel and silvered bell.

Early 19th Century.
Gilt and patinated bronze case in the shape of an urn, flanked by two flame-
throwing dragons, with palm leaves applied all around, four circular
turned feet, and a pine cone on top.
Enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours and arabic numerals for
the fifteen minutes, bearing the signature Champion rue de la Feuillade.
Finely cut ormolu Breguet-style hands.
Movement with anchor recoil escapement, silk suspended pendulum and countwheel striking
on a silvered bell. Autonomy 15 days.

Good neo-classical cartonnier French Louis XVI ormolu and bronze sculptural mantel clock,
signed Vincent, circa 1775, 13-cm enamel dial with Arabic numerals,
pierced and engraved gilt hands, flat bottomed countwheel striking anchor
movement with silk suspended pendulum.
Ormolu case flanked by two patinated bronze classical ladies
personifying Justice and Wisdom, as designed by Antoine Foullet
and executed by Augustin Pajou. The two female green patinated antique bronze female
figures: on the right, Justice, very graciously resting on her elbow with a sword in
one hand and a balance in the other; on the left: Wisdom, with a snake symbolising
intelligence held in the left hand, and a mirror symbolising thinking and
self-knowledge. Rectangular base with acanthus leaves and pomegranate high relief
on matted background, on a white marble plinth and toupee feet.
The overall equilibrium of this composition and the refinement of its execution, along
with the exquisite quality of the original chafing make it a particularly
sought after model from the neo-classical period in the decorative arts.

The charming scene representing a young woman sitting on an armchair with
winged sphynges armrests, flanked by her cat and dog, explaining the
intricacies of the game to a young boy perched on a stool and cushion.
Fine enamel dial with Roman numerals and Arabic quarter markers, blued
steel Breguet hands. 8-day duration movement with anchor recoil
escapement and silk suspended pendulum, countwheel strike on a silvered bell.

rectangular octagonal base with a pierced foliate relief and two busts,
